Meet Gina! This charming 1-year-old Belgian Malinois mix, weighing in at 56lbs, is ready to bring her playful spirit and loving nature into your home. Gina had a rough start to life, being found abandoned as a tiny puppy near a busy road. Fortunately, she was rescued and is now thriving in a foster home, eagerly awaiting her chance to find a forever family.
Ideal Home
Gina would thrive in an active home with someone who can provide daily playtime and mental stimulation. She would do well with older, dog-savvy children (10 and up) who understand how to interact with a larger, energetic dog. While she enjoys the company of other dogs and lives happily with both small and large dogs in her foster home, she will need slow introductions to new canine friends due to a past negative experience. Gina would prefer a cat-free home, as she gets a bit too excited around neighborhood kitties. A home with another dog is also recommended to keep her company and help her expend her puppy energy.
Ongoing Health
Gina is a healthy girl and has no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Gina is house and crate trained and can be crated for up to 8 hours. She walks well on a leash and does not show signs of separation anxiety. She is still in the "puppy velociraptor" stage and needs guidance on appropriate chewing habits, so providing her with plenty of chew toys is essential. She also prefers to enjoy her treats alone. Consistent positive training and socialization will be key to helping her grow into a well-mannered adult.
