Meet Venus! This delightful 5-year-old spayed female Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix, weighing around 45 lbs, is looking for her forever family. Venus is a wonderfully sweet and affectionate dog who loves to rest her head on your lap and shower you with loving gazes. She's a calm companion who's happy to go with the flow, whether that means lounging on the couch or joining you for an outdoor adventure. Venus enjoys playing with other dogs and absolutely loves zoomies in the backyard. She's also a big fan of toys and will happily engage in play with her humans. Her playful spirit truly shines when she's splashing around in water, be it a kiddie pool or a stream on a hike. Venus is a great traveler and rides wonderfully in the car, making her the perfect co-pilot for road trips, park visits, or days out on the trail.
Ideal Home
Venus would thrive in a home where she is a cherished member of the family. While she enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely do well with older, respectful children who understand boundaries, she has shown a strong interest in chasing cats. Therefore, a cat-free home or one with very dog-savvy cats would be best for her.
Ongoing Health
Venus is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is house-trained and crate-trained. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking bites of other dogs' meals.
Training & Support
Venus is still working on her leash manners, as she can pull sometimes, but she is a quick learner and highly food motivated. She is trustworthy when left loose in the house.

Transporation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA. Transports run every few weeks, and she will be on the next available transport once approved. For adopters outside of Washington, out-of-state adoption is possible once an approved adopter is lined up.
