Greyson

Hello there! I'm Greyson, an approximately 11-year-old, 34-pound sweetheart who arrived at Mostly Mutts from animal control. I'm so glad I'm here, receiving lots of love and care from the wonderful volunteers who are helping me find my furever family. I've even had a chance to stay in a foster home while I wait for my perfect match!

Ideal Home

I'm a friendly and well-mannered senior gentleman with a surprisingly energetic spirit for my age. I'd love a home where someone is around quite a bit, as I don't enjoy being crated and can get anxious if left alone for too long. I get along well with polite dogs who don't need a playmate, and I've enjoyed the company of a 10-year-old girl and a teenage boy. However, I can get a little jumpy with excitement, so a home without toddlers who I might accidentally bump over would be best. Cats are unknown at this time.

Ongoing Health

I'm up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. I recently had a dental cleaning, so my smile is sparkling! I do have a little arthritis, which is managed with a daily Cosequin tablet to support my joints. I'm also currently taking Fluoxetine and Trazodone to help with shelter and kennel stress, and I anticipate being able to gradually come off these once I'm settled in my new home.

Training & Support

I'm a smart boy who already knows "sit," "stay," "come," and "leave it." I also use good door etiquette and greet new people politely. My foster is working with me on leash walking, as I tend to pull and wander a bit. I do need a home where I won't be crated, as I find it very stressful and have tried to escape and chew on the crate lining in the past. I'm still mastering my potty skills, so a consistent schedule will be key to my success.
