Sweet Tea came to us as a police intake and has been charming everyone she meets ever since! She's an affectionate, people-loving dog who doesn't waste any time making a new friend feel like her best friend. Staff and volunteers consistently describe her as sweet, gentle, and easy to handle – she's easy to leash, pleasant on walks, and has even shown off a few tricks (she knows sit and paw!). Her favorite thing in the world might just be a good butt rub; she'll lean her whole body into you and do the cutest little wiggle when the pets are really good. In playgroup, she's shown a social, playful side. She engages with other dogs with loose body language, play bows, mid-wags, and push and pull play. Sweet Tea is ready to trade shelter life for a cozy couch, plenty of cuddles, and a family to call her own. She has been an absolute joy in foster care and has settled into home life incredibly well.
Ideal Home
Sweet Tea is extremely affectionate and snuggly, frequently wanting to be touching her person, whether that's laying on your lap, leaning against you, or simply having part of her body touching yours. She loves to nap and relax with her people. She is gentle, sweet, and easy to have around the house. She enjoys playing with toys and is happy to entertain herself between naps.

Training & Support
Sweet Tea is fully house-trained and has not had a single accident during her time in foster care. She is also crate-trained and very comfortable in her crate, happily napping in it and able to be left alone for short periods without issue. She has never barked indoors during her foster stay, making her quiet and apartment-friendly. She is excellent on leash and does not typically pull. While she can become excited when she sees other dogs because she enjoys interacting with them, she redirects easily if you continue walking. She takes treats very gently and is not a picky eater, though she does best with a mix of wet and dry food.
