Gilly

Gilly was a brave stray who navigated the frozen Sandusky River and explored towns in northwest Ohio before finding his way to safety. He initially went to the county shelter, but once it was clear he had limited human interaction, our rescue stepped in. His foster has lovingly provided him with patience, routine, and gentle affection. Through this, Gilly has transformed from a shy, protective pup into a confident, playful dog who loves treats and is learning to express his affection, especially when food is involved. He's also picking up on obedience cues! Gilly is a fully grown, neutered, and vaccinated boy weighing 37 pounds. We suspect he might be a mix of Lab, Beagle, and perhaps some Chi.

Ideal Home

Gilly would thrive in a quiet home with humans who are home for most of the day and can provide him with the consistent attention and routine he needs. A physically fenced yard is a must for his safety and to allow him to zoom around. Homes with young children are not a good fit for Gilly.

Ongoing Health

Gilly is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Gilly is learning obedience cues and is becoming more accepting of affection. He enjoys leash walks but also loves to run and play in a secure space.
