Luella

Luella is a shy but sweet Chihuahua mix who is looking for her forever home. She was rescued by us when she was nearly full term in her pregnancy and gave birth to two puppies in foster care. Her puppies have found their homes, but Luella is still waiting! She prefers the company of women and is fearful of men, so a quiet home with someone who is home most of the day would be ideal. Luella is an independent girl who doesn't need constant attention, but she does appreciate knowing you're nearby. She's not fond of being picked up or cuddled, but a good meal and a warm bed will keep her perfectly content. Most of her day is spent following you around or napping. She's a great listener and the perfect quiet roommate. Luella is housebroken and enjoys having a fenced-in backyard to explore. She did well with a doggy door in her foster home, giving her the freedom to come and go as she pleased. While she can be snippy with other dogs, Luella does well with cats. If you're looking for a small, quiet, and easy-to-care-for companion, Luella might be the perfect pup for you.
