About Teddy

Teddy is approximately 3.5 years old and weighs about 10 lbs. His DNA shows him to be a mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Bichon, and three other breeds. When he was rescued, he was in rough shape and needed a shave, but his coat has since grown back beautifully. He's a pretty boy who will require regular grooming to maintain his handsome looks. Teddy underwent successful cataract surgery on both eyes and now enjoys excellent vision.

This sweet pup loves to be a lap dog and will enthusiastically snuggle up on his foster's lap whenever he gets the chance. He generally gets along well with other dogs, but can be a bit particular. He prefers not to be bothered by overly active dogs who get in his face. He also likes to enjoy his meals in peace and may get snappy if other dogs try to eat his food. For this reason, he would likely do best as an only dog or with an older, quieter canine companion. Teddy is fairly well house-trained, though not perfect. He walks nicely on a leash and absolutely loves car rides! He's sure to be a wonderful companion for the right person.

Ideal Home

Teddy would thrive in a home where he can be your devoted lap dog. He would do best as an only dog or with an older, quieter companion. He is not suited for homes with children under 8 years old and only experienced dog owners will be considered.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has had mature cataracts in both eyes, which have been successfully treated with surgery. He is now on medication to aid his healing and has regained excellent eyesight.

Training & Support

Teddy is fairly well house-trained but is not perfect. He walks well on a leash. He can get snappy with other dogs if they try to eat his food and may not appreciate overly active dogs in his face.
