Chester is a happy, 2.5-year-old, neutered male Staffordshire Terrier mix who weighs about 60 pounds. His tail is always wagging, and he loves to play with dogs of all sizes and genders. He's also great with small children, though he doesn't currently live with any. Chester is fully potty-trained and sleeps quietly in his crate. He's still working on some house manners, like counter-surfing, but he's a smart and quick learner. He enjoys walks and exploring, and while he can pull on the leash occasionally, he's not a harsh puller. He can sometimes bark at strangers but is generally friendly. Chester knows "paw" and loves to nudge for more pets. He has a moderate energy level, being playful in the mornings and evenings and more relaxed during the day. He rides in the car but can be a bit antsy, so some continued car training would be beneficial. His foster describes him as one of the happiest dogs they've met, always cheerful, loving, and eager to please. He's looking for a home that will continue his training, provide companionship, and appreciate his affectionate heart.
Ideal Home
Chester would love a home with a dog friend to play with, but he would also be happy as a solo pup. He has a moderate energy level and would be happy in a home with regular walks and plenty of affection.

Chester is up-to-date on all his vaccinations and has been neutered.
Training & Support
Chester is fully potty-trained and understands "kennel." He is still learning house manners, such as not counter-surfing, but he is a quick learner. He needs some continued leash work and social exposure to refine his manners and continued car training.

Transportation
Chester is currently fostered in San Antonio, Texas. He is able to transport once an adopter is approved. Transport is included in our adoption donation.
