Meet Summer!
Hi there! I'm Summer, a 6-7-year-old Labrador Retriever mix weighing in at about 55 lbs of love, curiosity, and gentle companionship. I'm all set for my forever home too - I've been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and fully vaccinated with rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. All I need now is a family to call my own!
I'm a sweet, independent girl who loves to explore the world at my own pace. Whether I'm sniffing every corner of the yard, checking out new sights, or stopping to munch on a little grass along the way (one of my favourite pastimes!), I'm happiest when I can satisfy my curiosity.
While I enjoy my adventures, I also have a gentle, affectionate side. I'm truly a lap dog at heart and absolutely love attention from my favourite people. Don't let my size fool you - if there's room beside you (or even on you!), I'll happily soak up all the cuddles I can get. Once you've earned my trust, I'm happiest simply being by your side, enjoying all the pets and love you're willing to give.
I can be a little reserved when meeting new people and appreciate having the chance to warm up at my own pace. With a little patience, my loving personality really begins to shine, and I form strong bonds with the people I trust.
On walks, I'm calm and do well walking past other dogs. While I'm comfortable around them, I'd likely prefer being the only dog in my future home so I can soak up all the love and attention for myself.
I haven't been tested with children or cats, so any introductions should be done thoughtfully and based on my individual needs.
If you're looking for a loyal, easygoing companion who enjoys exploring, relaxing with her favourite people, and stopping for the occasional grass snack, I might just be your perfect match!
Ideal Home
Summer would prefer to be the only dog in the home to soak up all the love and attention. Any introductions to children or cats should be done thoughtfully and based on her individual needs.
