Meet Red, our longest resident! This smiley 4-year-old pittie mix is an energetic, affectionate boy with a true zest for life. Red and 15 other dogs were rescued from a rural Florida shelter after it was devastated by hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024. After 1.5 years, Red is still waiting for his forever home! He's been wonderful in our care, enjoying playtime in the yards, zooming around with staff, and soaking up all the snuggles from volunteers and his favorite people. He is fully housetrained and a fan favorite for doggy day outs and fostering!

Red is happy 24/7 and will constantly put a smile on your face. He's a ladies' man when it comes to dogs and people, preferring the company of females, though slow and proper introductions can help him become friends with everyone. His adoption fee has been waived to help him find his forever home! Red is an easygoing, lovable goofball who will shower his family with a lifetime of love! Transportation

Red is located in South Carolina and we transport to the northeast weekly. Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their pet. We provide local or virtual meet-and-greets with an application on file.
