Lucy

Lucy is a sweet senior lady, estimated to be between 12-13 years old, who came to us with her companion, Ricky. Their owner was detained by ICE, and while a friend provided care for a time, it became clear that reuniting them with their family was unlikely. We stepped in to offer Lucy and Ricky a safe haven.

Ideal Home

Lucy will undoubtedly be a fospice (foster + hospice) recipient. She is looking for a loving, long-term foster home where she can live out her golden years being cherished and cared for. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children.

Ongoing Health

Lucy has a number of health conditions that require management and comfort care. She has mammary tumors, a heart murmur on both sides, dental issues, an abscess, an inguinal hernia, arthritis, and tattered ears. She is not a candidate for surgery as it is believed she would not survive it. She is heartworm negative and fully vaccinated.

Training & Support

Lucy is a quiet and gentle soul. We have no specific training needs to report, but as a senior dog, she will benefit from a calm and loving environment.
