Poky

Poky is a curious and friendly 2-year-old boy who loves to explore and meet new people! He's a bit of a social butterfly and enjoys human company the most. While he's still learning to get along with other dogs, he's very trainable and can adapt with a little time and patience. Poky is house and crate trained, navigates stairs and elevators like a pro, and walks beautifully on a leash. He also enjoys car rides, as long as he's safely buckled in! Poky is an active pup and can be a bit mouthy, so he'd be happiest in a home with older children who can keep up with his playful energy.

Ideal Home

An active family with slightly older children who will appreciate Poky's enthusiasm for roughhousing and won't be deterred by his occasional mouthiness.

Ongoing Health

Poky has tested positive for heartworms and will be treated at the rescue's expense by one of their partner veterinarians.

Training & Support

Poky can be mouthy at times, so an active family will be best suited for him. He is house and crate trained, and walks well on leash.
