About Dottie Freegle

Meet Dottie Freegle!

Breed: Beagle (Ridglan Farms Rescue)

Age: Approx. 1 year old

Status: Spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines

Location: In a loving foster home learning how to be a "real dog"

The Sweetest Survivor

If you've been following the incredible journeys of the beagles released from Ridglan Farms, you'll want to stop and look at Dottie. At just a year old, Dottie is starting her brand-new life from scratch. Because she spent her first year in a laboratory environment, everything in the outside world is brand new to her—from the feeling of grass under her paws to the concept of a loving human touch.

The verdict? She absolutely loves it! Dottie is an incredibly affectionate girl who just wants to be wherever you are. She is a Velcro dog in the making and has so much love to give.

‍ Life in the Foster Home

Dottie is discovering the joy of just being a pup. Here is how she's doing:

The Zoomies: Her absolute favorite thing is running free in the backyard. Watching her get the zoomies is pure joy!

Learning to Play: She is just starting to figure out what toys and chew bones are for, and she's highly amused by them.

House Training: She is doing fantastic with her potty training on a routine schedule with regular outings.

Bedtime: She currently sleeps in a puppy pen. She takes a little bit of time to settle down at night because, honestly? She would much rather be curled up right by your side in bed!

Dottie's Perfect Match

Because of her unique background, Dottie needs a specific environment to help her continue to blossom. Her forever home must have:

A Securely Fenced Yard: A safe, enclosed space is a must for her safety and her epic zoomie sessions.

A Confident Canine Sibling: Dottie requires a confident resident dog in her new home. She constantly looks to her foster dog siblings to figure out how to behave, and she is already trying hard to play with them.

A Patient, Understanding Family: Dottie needs a family who understands that the world can still be a little overwhelming for her. She needs people who will celebrate her small victories and give her the time she needs to settle in.

Foster Mom/Dad's Note: "Dottie is a resilient, loving soul who deserves the world. Watching her learn to be a dog is the most rewarding experience. If you have the patience, she has the loyalty!"
