Nifty is living proof that sometimes the best things come in fun-sized packages. At just 1 year old and 16 pounds, this Black Labrador Retriever mix somehow managed to take all the lovable qualities of a Lab and condense them into a perfectly portable model. She arrived with her friends Nectar, Novella, Niblet, and Niche, creating what may have been the cutest friend group in rescue history. Nifty has been through more than most dogs her age, but you'd never know it from meeting her. After a long battle with an eye infection, she ultimately said goodbye to one eye and moved right along with her plans. Dwelling on the past? Not Nifty's style. She's far too busy enjoying life. In fact, Nifty has taken a very practical approach to the situation. Why spend time looking backward when you're focused on all the wonderful things ahead? She's confident, happy, and fully committed to proving that one eye is plenty when you're busy collecting adventures, treats, and affection. And let's be honest, her little wink game is now unmatched. Nifty has a way of making people smile. Maybe it's her resilient spirit. Maybe it's her adorable size. Maybe it's the fact that she approaches life with the attitude of someone who has already decided everything is going to work out just fine. Whatever it is, it's impossible not to root for her. Nifty is doing great after an eye infection that resulted in the loss of one eye. She is otherwise healthy and tested negative on her 4DX for heartworm and tick-borne disease.
