Dinah is a gentle soul with a heart full of love to give! This beautiful girl, around a year old and weighing 63 lbs, is a delightful mix of Rottweiler and Shepherd (best guess, of course). Dinah has a way of making everything around her feel calmer and more peaceful. Her soft eyes and the way she melts into your touch for a moment of affection will surely win you over. She's still exploring the world and her playful, affectionate personality shines brighter each day. Dinah truly adores gentle pets, melts for belly rubs, and forms deep, quiet connections that feel incredibly special. She has a wonderfully soft mouth when taking treats and is a sensitive, thoughtful dog. Dinah is people-oriented and craves gentle connection, patient reassurance, and calm handling. She blossoms when she can simply be herself, and once comfortable, she even enjoys a good romp.
Ideal Home
Dinah would thrive in a calmer home with older kids or adults who understand shy dogs and the beauty of building trust slowly. She is not recommended for homes with cats or very small dogs. Busy environments and fast movements can initially overwhelm her, so a peaceful setting is key.
Ongoing Health
Dinah is generally healthy and has been spayed, vaccinated (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies), and microchipped. She is up-to-date on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention, and has received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments.
Training & Support
While Dinah can be initially shy, she is not difficult, dramatic, or demanding. She is simply sensitive and notices tone, energy, movement, and intention deeply. With patience and safety, she forms incredibly strong bonds. She has shown appropriate social skills with other dogs but can be overwhelmed by pushy dogs. She generally gives fair, controlled corrections when needed and then moves on. She would likely do best with respectful, socially savvy dogs, especially calm or playful medium to large dogs who won't crowd her.
