Esperanza

Hi, I’m Esperanza! But my foster family calls me Spranza. My eyes might have caught your attention – one blue, one brown, a little wild, a little soulful, just like me. I'm about 6 years old and a Catahoula/Husky mix with a deep love for the outdoors and an even bigger love for my people. I enjoy being part of the action, whether it's hiking, going for walks, or having zoomies in the backyard. Once the adventure is done, I'm happy to melt into the couch with my head in your lap. I'm the perfect blend of adventure buddy and couch potato extraordinaire. My foster family says I'm loyal, smart, snuggly, and a little dramatic. If you're looking for a best friend with a big heart, I might be your soul dog!

Ideal Home

I'm not a fan of apartment living. I have a voice (Husky, remember?) and a nose that likes to explore! I'd do best in a home with a secure, fenced yard where I can stretch my legs and then relax on the sofa like royalty. While I'm polite, I prefer calmer, more predictable environments and am not a fan of small children. Older kids who respect my space might be okay.

Training & Support

I am crate trained, housebroken, and I know commands like "sit," "shake," and "kennel." I've also mastered the art of getting extra treats with "the look"! I am great with other dogs after a little time to adjust and have even made peace with the chickens at my foster home. I need someone patient, active, and understanding of dogs with a bit of independence and a lot of love to give.
