JJ Ryder is a solid, athletic, and loyal companion who is up for any adventure and happy to relax afterward. This handsome fellow is about 4 years old and weighs around 75 lbs, with a build that naturally looks right by your side. JJ lives for the outdoors, enjoying long hikes, fetch, swimming, and boat rides. He's always ready when you grab his leash or a tennis ball! After a day of excitement, he's just as content to chill on the couch or quietly observe.

Ideal Home

JJ connects quickly with men and thrives with calm, confident leadership. He'd be happy as a single dog or with another canine companion. A home with adult family members or calm older teens would be ideal. Due to his prey drive, a home without cats is a must.

Training & Support

JJ is a smart and tuned-in dog who already knows a solid set of commands. He is gentle-lead trained and comes when called. He is also fully potty trained and crate trained, meaning he can be trusted to free-roam without causing trouble. He is respectful of space, not destructive, doesn't resource guard, and sleeps quietly through the night. He is affectionate without being pushy and loyal without being clingy.

Transporation

JJ is currently located in Texas. Wags facilitates adoptions across the US with their own internal transport, traveling to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, and Canada. Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT. There will be an additional $87 surcharge for transport. All adoptions within Texas must be picked up from Friendswood, Tx.
