Lady Mae

Meet Lady Mae, a devoted three-year-old Australian Shepherd who is ready to find her forever family! Lady Mae's journey into rescue was through no fault of her own, and she is now looking for a loving home where she can finally settle down and share her loyal heart. She is the definition of a "velcro dog." Once she realizes she is safe and loved, she will stay right by your side, happy to be wherever you are. While she was a bit nervous when she first arrived, she has blossomed into a sweet companion who loves snuggling and being part of the action. She has a special soft spot for children and is completely enamored with her foster family's five-year-old nephew, making her a wonderful potential addition for a household with kids.

Ideal Home

Lady Mae would do best in a home with a yard with room to play. She gets along with other dogs, though she can be a bit bossy with smaller pups, so she would do best with a companion closer to her size or as an only pet. She is still deciding how she feels about cats, but she is very curious and seems to want to be friends.

Ongoing Health

Lady Mae is scheduled to be spayed and fully updated on her vaccines this July.

Training & Support

Lady Mae is house-trained and does well when left alone, showing no signs of separation anxiety. She perfectly balances her "couch potato" side with her love for the outdoors; she absolutely enjoys lounging in the cool comfort of the house, but she also loves to head outside to run and burn off her energy.
