Meet Gina! This one-year-old spayed female Belgian Malinois mix is about 56lbs of pure joy and a bit of a collector – she loves to gather all her toys and keep them in her bed! Gina had a tough start, found abandoned as a tiny puppy near a busy road. Thankfully, she's now in a loving foster home and ready to find her forever family. She's a playful pup who enjoys a good game of tug-of-war with her small dog friends and is learning to fetch. Gina is house and crate trained and can stay crated for up to 8 hours. She walks well on a leash and doesn't seem to suffer from separation anxiety.
Ideal Home
Gina would do best in an active home with someone who can play with her daily. She's looking for a family who understands how to raise a big, active pup into a well-mannered adult and is committed to providing her with regular socialization, positive training, and plenty of opportunities for exercise, play, and enrichment. She would thrive with another dog to keep her company and help her burn off energy. A home with older, dog-savvy children (10+) would be ideal, as she can be jumpy when excited and is still learning her size. Gina would prefer a cat-free home, as she gets a little too enthusiastic when she sees neighborhood kitties.
Ongoing Health
Gina is a healthy girl with no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Gina is house and crate trained and walks nicely on a leash. She prefers to enjoy her treats alone and is currently in the "puppy velociraptor stage," so she'll need guidance on appropriate chew toys. She is a bit apprehensive of unfamiliar dogs, especially larger ones, due to a past attack. Slow introductions are recommended.
