Weighing in at about 55 pounds, he's a handsome, loyal boy who is ready for a fresh start after being pulled from the euthanasia list at another shelter. Boots Wayne is incredibly devoted to his people and eager to please. He's very treat-motivated and already knows basic commands like sit, stay, and shake – he loves learning and truly shines when he's working for rewards and praise. With continued structure and training, he has so much potential to grow into an amazing companion.
Ideal Home
Boots Wayne needs an experienced, confident adopter who can continue guiding him with consistency and patience, as he doesn't always realize his own size or strength. He requires an adult-only home with no children due to some resource guarding behaviors. He can be dog friendly with dogs of similar size with slow introductions, and with cats under supervision.

All vaccinations, microchipping, and spay/neuter are included in the adoption fee.
Training & Support
Boots Wayne has some resource guarding behaviors and will need an adopter knowledgeable who can help him continue working through these challenges safely and appropriately.
