Meet Lil Bit and Bow Wow, a bonded pair who are searching for a loving home to share together! Lil Bit is a 13.5-year-old, 6.5 lb, three-legged Chihuahua girl who enjoys being the leader of her pack, with her best friend Bow Wow right by her side. She’s also the resident security expert, always keeping an eye on things! Bow Wow is a 10-year-old, 12.6 lb Cairn terrier blend boy who happily follows Lil Bit's lead. He absolutely adores human cuddles and his enthusiastic wiggle when he sees his people says it all!
This delightful duo enjoys each other's company, whether they're eating, playing, or sleeping. Lil Bit loves to relax on her human's lap, while Bow Wow enjoys snuggling and getting his ears scratched. While they can take or leave toys, they prefer spending quality time with their humans and each other.
Ideal Home
Lil Bit and Bow Wow would thrive in a home without stairs or a pool, considering Lil Bit's three-legged nature. A single-family home is ideal, as Lil Bit is a diligent alarm system for strangers and visitors. They can be left alone for a few hours in a secure space and would do best in a fenced yard where they can safely explore together. They also get along with other small dogs and cats, but require slow introductions. This sweet pair would do best in a home with kind, older children (12+) or a quiet home with no children.
Ongoing Health
This pair is healthy and up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. They are spayed/neutered and recently had dental cleanings. They require monthly flea and heartworm preventatives. Lil Bit will need regular baths and nail trims, while Bow Wow will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks.
Training & Support
Lil Bit and Bow Wow are house-trained when kept on a regular schedule and have good basic manners. They walk well on leashes and tolerate car rides. They sleep soundly in their own beds at night.
