Lonestar is a sweet young terrier mix and he is around 16 pounds of pure love. Once he decides you're his person, get ready to have a permanent shadow who wants to be right there with you for all of it. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.
This boy is up for whatever you are. Feeling active? Lonestar is ready for a walk (good on a leash) and makes an excellent adventure buddy. Winding down after a long day? He is absolutely there for the cuddle session, too. He loves attention and affection and will happily mold himself to your energy. He does well in a crate, is making solid progress with his potty training (just needs frequent, consistent bathroom breaks), and gets along well with other dogs. Oh, and he is extremely food-motivated, which makes training easier.
Lonestar does best in an adult-only household. He's also a nervous boy who needs a few days to warm up, and he's especially nervous around men. When hes scared, he may growl or even snap not because hes aggressive or a bad dog, but because its the only way he knows how to communicate, "Im not ready yet." He needs a patient, understanding family that will respect his boundaries and allow him to build trust at his own pace. Once he feels safe and secure, his true personality begins to shine, and the bond he forms is incredibly rewarding.
What Lonestar needs more than anything is a patient, understanding adopter who will give him the time and space to come out of his shell on his timeline. The reward for that patience? A loyal, loving, active little companion who will be by your side through all of life's adventures and all of its quiet moments, too.
