About Polly

Meet Polly, a delightful 38lb Cattle Dog Retriever mix who truly embodies the spirit of a perpetual puppy. She's already spayed, vaccinated, and up-to-date on all preventatives, making her ready to leap into her forever home. Polly has a wonderfully go-with-the-flow nature and loves being an active participant in whatever her family is up to.

Ideal Home

Polly enjoys playtime and is always game for a romp with other dogs, but she's also a surprisingly low-energy companion overall. She's just as content to relax and snuggle as she is to engage in a good toy session. She's affectionate, loves to cuddle, and truly cherishes being close to her people. While she can be a bit shy when first meeting new folks, she warms up quickly once she feels secure. Polly has been around children aged 6 and up and has done well with them. We don't have any history of her with cats.

Ongoing Health

Polly is current on all vaccinations and preventatives.

Training & Support

Polly is house-trained and crate-trained for up to six hours. She also travels well in the car and has no issues with resource guarding or food aggression. She's currently working on her leash manners and may pull a bit, but her smaller size makes her easy to manage as she continues to learn. Like many young dogs, Polly is still learning the ropes of home life and will benefit from a patient adopter who can provide consistent guidance. To prevent her from getting into things when unsupervised, she should be crated. With a consistent routine, she'll continue to thrive and blossom.
