Seymour

Meet Seymour, a 2-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who is a professional cuddle expert! Seymour is a sweet, gentle, and deeply loving soul who truly sees the world with his heart. He came to us as a puppy and has patiently waited for his perfect match. Despite being a staff and volunteer favorite for his wonderful demeanor during doggy dates and sleepovers, he's still searching for his forever home. Seymour is a master of lounging, believing that snuggling is his full-time job. He adores being close to his people and is a social butterfly who gets along famously with everyone he meets, including other dogs. He's also a dream in the car and loves going for rides. While he has some vision impairment, his "internal GPS" is excellent, allowing him to navigate most environments with impressive ease.

Ideal Home

Seymour thrives on companionship and can sometimes be a bit vocal when he realizes his favorite humans aren't in the room. He's not being loud; he's simply calling out for reassurance that you're still nearby.

Ongoing Health

Seymour is deaf, so he relies heavily on his other senses, especially his connection to his people.

Training & Support

Seymour is a quick learner and has excelled with hand signals and sign language, as he can see shapes and movement. Tools like the Acorns DEAFinitely Awesome Dictionary of Signs and vibration collars can be very helpful for training. He pulls sometimes on leash but is capable of learning.
