Hi everyone! My name is Grey, and I'm a very good boy looking for my next foster home. My wonderful foster parents would love to travel more, and it's not fair for me to spend long stretches of time in a kennel. So, it's time for me to mosey on over to a new home where I can spread out my dog bed, claim a cozy spot for my blanket, and continue being my best self.
My foster parents have given me patience, confidence, and the opportunity to truly enjoy being a dog. I love hiking, exploring, and spending time outdoors. They've also helped me start a new treatment program that combines training and medication to help manage my anxiety. The difference has been amazing—I feel so much more comfortable and confident in the world. I do take three medications twice a day, but don't worry—I'll happily remind you when it's time for my "cookie" medicine!
I still need slow introductions to new people, and while I enjoy other dogs, I do best when introductions are made carefully and thoughtfully. Could you be my next foster home? I promise to bring plenty of love, loyalty, and gratitude to the family willing to give me a chance.
Ideal Home
Grey is an athletic, fun-loving boy who would thrive in an active home. A fenced yard would be ideal for him to run and play. He needs a calm, patient family who understands that trust takes time. Grey is not a good fit for homes with young children due to his sensitivity to sudden movements. Homes with cats are unknown.
Ongoing Health
Grey takes three medications twice daily to help manage his anxiety.
Training & Support
Grey is a smart cookie who has mastered sit, down, place, out/drop it, heel, and waiting politely at doors. He walks nicely on leash and is working hard on feeling more confident around crowds and strangers. Treats and gentle guidance make all the difference. He's crate trained, food motivated, and enjoys learning. Grey can be selective with other dogs and may get growly, so a dog-free home or a calm, compatible dog is best. He is good with some dogs and has been doing well dog-sitting a family dog. He needs slow introductions to new people. He comes with lifetime training and support from the American Canine Academy.
