Nina Ricotta is a sweet, affectionate, and playful companion who may be a little shy when meeting new people, but her adorable personality shines through. She loves gentle pets, belly rubs, and curling up in your lap. When she gets excited, she does adorable little jumps and dances. Nina has an easygoing, mellow nature and quickly becomes devoted to her people. At bedtime, Nina happily follows her family and canine friends into the bedroom, where she settles comfortably into her own dog bed and sleeps soundly through the night. She greets you each morning and every time you come home with the cutest little welcome barks, but otherwise, she's a quiet companion. Nina first joined Frosted Faces in June 2025 after being found as a stray multiple times. Eventually, her dad had to surrender her due to declining health. Nina was adopted but sadly returned a year later when her adopter could no longer care for her. Thankfully, Nina is back with her previous foster mom, who is once again taking wonderful care of her.
Ideal Home
Nina would thrive in a home that can offer her stability and love. She has done wonderfully living with other dogs, making her an excellent candidate for a home with gentle canine companions.
Ongoing Health
Nina has hypothyroidism and needs medication for it. She has gained weight and has not been eating well, but is now back with her foster mom who is taking wonderful care of her. Her nails were overgrown and her fur was matted upon her return.
