Gracie

Meet Gracie! This beautiful hound mix is about 2.7 years old and weighs around 40 lbs. Gracie is a sweet, gentle soul who has overcome a lot of past trauma. She arrived at the shelter shut down and fearful, but with the help of dedicated volunteers, she's blossomed and is ready to find her forever home. Gracie has a lovely tan and white coat and is learning to be brave, though her eyes still show a hint of uncertainty. She's incredibly sweet, never aggressive, and very submissive. She's even found her voice and is learning to walk on a leash!

Ideal Home

Gracie would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can safely enjoy the outdoors. She might do well with another confident dog who can show her the ropes. A quiet home environment with a person who works from home or a family with older children would be ideal. Gracie needs infinite patience and kindness to continue her journey of healing and trust.

Training & Support

Gracie is learning to walk on a leash. She needs a patient owner to help her continue building confidence and trust.

Transporation

Gracie is located at Charles Smithgall Humane Society. Adopters must come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. We do permit out-of-state adoptions.
