Hello, my name is Natchez, though my foster parent sometimes calls me "Nachos" – they're quite amusing! I'm not only handsome, but I'm also a happy, playful pup and a world-class snuggler. It might take me a moment to warm up to new people, but once I do, I'll be right by your side, not leaving you much personal space!
I haven't met many dogs yet, but I'm eager to make some four-legged (or even three-legged!) friends. I'm a good traveler and enjoy meeting new people in public, soaking up all the attention and pets. We're still working on leash manners, as I can get a bit distracted by other dogs, squirrels, or any other furry critter. I'm crate-trained and house-broken, though I much prefer being out of the crate if you're around. I can be a little vocal when first crated due to some separation anxiety and my hound instincts, but I do settle down. While I'm house-trained, loud noises can sometimes startle me, leading to occasional accidents, but I'm improving daily. I'm learning basic commands like "sit" and "stay," although sometimes "stay" sounds a lot like "stay right next to me" when I get excited – it's an honest mistake!
Ideal Home
I'm looking for a home where I can continue to learn and grow. A fenced yard is required, and an electric fence will not be accepted. I've lived with cats and would do well with proper supervision. I'm also good with children aged 8 and over.

I am heartworm-tested and on prevention, fully vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
Training & Support
I'm working on leash manners and managing distractions like other dogs and squirrels. I can exhibit some separation anxiety when crated but will settle down. I may have occasional accidents if startled by loud noises. I know "sit" and "stay."

Transporation
I am located in Kettering, OH. Transport within a two-hour radius for adult dogs (or 75 miles for puppies) is available for home visits, with rare exceptions made on a case-by-case basis.
