ANGUS-Big Puppy

Meet Angus! He's a big, goofy puppy with a heart full of playfulness, looking for a family to remind them to slow down and enjoy life. Angus was found wandering near a local creek with his mother, Gloria, and brought to the Hico Animal Shelter. Now, he's ready for a loving home!

Angus is a neutered male Bullmastiff mix puppy, around 6 months old and already over 60 lbs. He's going to be a big boy when he's fully grown! He's still mastering leash walking and can be a bit of a chewy puppy, as is typical for his age. He's eager to play with other dogs but is still learning how to do so without being too boisterous due to his size. He's a bit too much for cats. Angus would thrive in an active household with older children who can keep up with his energy. He's doggie door trained, but housebreaking status is still being confirmed. While he enjoys car rides, he needs to be properly restrained due to his exuberance. He's truly a big, lovable puppy!

Ideal Home

Angus would do well in an active household with older children. A well-fenced yard is a must for him to explore and play safely.

Ongoing Health

Angus is neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccinations (including rabies and bordetella), and tested heartworm negative. He is microchipped and on preventatives for fleas, ticks, heartworms, and other parasites.

Training & Support

Angus is still learning good leash manners and is working on chewing appropriate items. As a puppy, he will benefit from continued guidance and positive reinforcement training.
