Brighton is a charming approximately 2-year-old, 11 lb Maltese mix who arrived at a local shelter with a severely shattered right front leg. Sadly, the leg could not be repaired and had to be amputated. But don't let that slow you down! Brighton has adapted beautifully to life as a tripod and gets around with impressive agility. He can hop into cars and onto the couch with ease, and nothing seems to stop this brave boy. He's his foster's best friend, following her everywhere, enjoying lap time, and sleeping soundly on her bed at night. Brighton gets along with other dogs, though he's not much of a player, and he seems to happily ignore the foster cats. He is house-trained and walks well on a leash. This sweet boy is ready for a home where he can receive plenty of TLC.
Ideal Home
Brighton needs a home where he can get lots of TLC. We do not adopt to anyone with children under the age of 8 years, and he must go to an experienced dog owner.
