Jethro is a handsome gentleman looking for his special someone! This sweet boy is a bit shy, especially around men, and his past experiences seem to have made him a little wary. With time, patience, and consistent effort from his previous caregivers, Jethro has begun to learn to trust, but he needs a special human who understands and respects his need for a slow introduction. He's looking for a confident, single woman who can give him all the attention, or a woman who is willing to put in the work to help him feel comfortable with any men who might enter his life. Once he feels safe and loved, Jethro blossoms into a big, goofy goober who loves to play! He's had positive interactions with other dogs and might enjoy a canine companion in his new home. A meet and greet with any resident dogs is a must to ensure a good fit. Jethro would do best in an adult-only home, as he is not suited for homes with children.

He needs a patient owner who understands his past trauma and is committed to helping him feel secure. An adult-only home (18+) is required. He may do well with another dog, pending a successful meet and greet.
