About Noor

Noor is a one-of-a-kind dog that will melt your heart! This charming gentleman is estimated to be around one year old and loves everyone he meets. He's a social butterfly who adores making new friends, both human and four-legged, with his easygoing personality. Noor is a petite guy, weighing a little over 45lbs. He came to us from an overcrowded animal shelter in Central CA, originally adopted as a tiny puppy but returned when his family had to move. He was a favorite at the shelter and even faced euthanasia through no fault of his own, but we stepped in to save him, and we've all fallen head over heels in love. He can't wait to be your new best friend! Noor is a perfect example of how amazing rescue dogs can be – gentle, friendly, well-mannered, and oh-so cute! Everyone who meets him can't help but fall in love with his adorable, big brown eyes and charming personality. He has great energy and is happy to be lazy at home but is always down for an adventure. He's enjoyed joining his foster family at dog-friendly restaurants and hosting dinner parties. He loves his walks and is great on leash. Noor is very food-obsessed but has good manners around food. He knows his basic commands and is eager to learn more, especially if food is involved. He would make a great first-time dog for someone who wants a moderate-energy companion who is past the puppy phase.

Ideal Home

Noor would thrive in a home with another large dog to wrestle and cuddle with, but he'd also be happy as your only dog. He has done well with a dog-savvy cat and could be a wonderful addition to a family with respectful children. He has been doing well in an apartment with daily exercise.

Ongoing Health

Noor was born with a heart defect (subaortic stenosis) that cannot be cured. He has started medication to help slow his heart rate, which costs less than $20 a month. At some point, he will go into heart failure and will have a significantly shorter lifespan. His heart will need to be monitored to assess how his condition progresses. He does not need any activity restrictions and can continue to do all the things he loves.

Training & Support

Noor is housetrained and comfortable in his crate while home alone and sleeping overnight. He knows his basic manners and is eager to learn more.
