Wanda is a delightful 2-3 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix, weighing around 38 lbs. She was found wandering the streets, malnourished and covered in ticks and fleas, clearly searching for a safe haven and a meal. Despite her rough start, Wanda has blossomed into an active, playful, energetic, and incredibly loving companion. She's very social with adults and thrives on interaction.
Ideal Home
Wanda would thrive in an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and daily walks. She needs a home with a fenced backyard. Due to her size and temperament, it's preferably for her to be the only dog in the home, as she is not social with larger dogs. Families with experience in the breed and a deep understanding of the needs of rescued street animals are ideal. Patience and a willingness to provide education and support for a rescued pup are essential.
Ongoing Health
Wanda has received a comprehensive health protocol including a spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She comes with a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Wanda is not house-trained. The rescue team works diligently on the health and emotional rehabilitation of their animals, but due to the large number of fosters, house-training each one is an immense undertaking. She will need a patient and understanding family committed to her continued training and integration.
