Navajo, a 6.5-year-old, 75-pound Pitbull mix, is a sweet, affectionate, and easygoing pup ready to be your loyal adventure buddy! He strikes a perfect balance between playful energy and relaxed companionship, equally happy joining you for a daily walk or curling up nearby for a cozy evening. Navajo enjoys playing with other dogs, particularly in one-on-one or small group settings, and he's learning to refine his play manners at daycare. He's polite and non-reactive on leash, though he may pull a bit when excited at the start of a walk. Navajo is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and he can be left loose in the house without signs of separation anxiety. He greets strangers with friendliness and has done well around children, though interactions with very young children haven't been fully tested. He adores toys and is a champion cuddler who loves being close to his people. Navajo is also an excellent car rider, a favorite at the vet, has no issues with stairs, and has a knack for finding cozy, unusual nap spots. He has shown no resource guarding with food, treats, toys, or people.
Ideal Home
Navajo would thrive in a stable, moderately active home that enjoys daily walks, occasional outings, and lots of affection. He doesn't need an ultra-active lifestyle but does appreciate consistent exercise, love, and companionship. He could do well as an only dog or with a compatible canine friend. Navajo would do best in a cat-free home.
Ongoing Health
Navajo needed dental work upon arrival in foster care, and several damaged teeth, including his canines, were removed. His remaining teeth are healthy, and he still happily chews his favorite bones.
Training & Support
Navajo is generally well-mannered but may occasionally need gentle redirection if he gets a little too excited during play. Proper introductions help him succeed with other dogs.
