Twiggy is a 4.5-month-old, 15lb female Terrier Mix with a remarkable story of resilience. Rescued from the root system of a downed tree in rural Louisiana, she and her siblings were brought to safety thanks to the kindness of a dedicated rescuer. Twiggy was one of the braver pups who made the journey to our foster program. While she may be a bit skittish and unsure at first, it's completely understandable given her beginnings. What's truly amazing is her growing eagerness for affection, often becoming a shy shadow, seeking comfort by your side. She's a sweet girl who just needs a little time and a lot of love to blossom.
Ideal Home
Twiggy would thrive in a home that is patient and understanding as she learns to embrace life. A home with another dog is ideal, as she seems to take comfort in canine companionship. She is good with cats. She would do best in a home with children aged 10 and up.
Ongoing Health
Twiggy is up-to-date on her vaccinations and has been spayed. She has also received a certified vet inspection, and her prior vetting paperwork will be provided.
Training & Support
Twiggy is a bit skittish and unsure, which is normal given her past. She can be a shy shadow and may hide initially. Consistent patience and positive reinforcement will be key to helping her build confidence. Her foster home has noted she sometimes sleeps on the steps if you go upstairs, indicating she wants to be near you but may be hesitant to follow. A home ready to guide her with training will be a great start for her new life.
