Poppy

Meet Poppy! This sweet, purebred Coton de'Tulear, born on June 9, 2020, is a delightful 12-pound companion. Poppy is a quiet and chill girl who gets along wonderfully with everyone, including cats, kids, and other dogs. While she might be a little shy at first, once she warms up to you, she'll be your constant shadow, happy to be right at your feet. Poppy comes to us after being retired from a breeder, and we're so happy to give her a loving new home.

Ideal Home

Poppy needs a home with a fenced-in yard or an outdoor exercise pen to ensure her safety during potty breaks, as her leash skills are still developing. Please have any upcoming vacations planned and completed before applying to adopt.

Ongoing Health

Poppy has been spayed, had a previous dental cleaning, and tested negative for heartworm. She's up-to-date on her rabies and distemper/parvo vaccinations, has received 30 days of heartworm preventative, and is microchipped. She does have a small underbite, which causes no issues. All of her veterinary paperwork will go with her.

Training & Support

Poppy is crate trained, doggy door trained, and quiet in her crate. Her leash skills are not yet great, and she will need continued positive reinforcement for potty training and leash walking.

Transportation

Poppy is located in Antwerp, Ohio. Transport is available to Maumee every other Wednesday morning if needed. Approved families are always welcome to meet her in Antwerp.
