Pooh

Pooh is a charming 11-pound Chihuahua mix with a heart of gold, ready to find his special person. He's a mature adult, past the puppy stage, but still has plenty of love to give. Pooh can be a little shy when he first meets new people, but once he warms up, he's incredibly loyal. His favorite way to bond is through treats – his tummy is truly the way to his heart! He loves to relax, whether that's on a comfy bed or a warm lap, and he enjoys a good view, often found watching the world go by from the front door. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, making him a great addition to a multi-pet household.

Ideal Home

Pooh would do best in a home without children, as they tend to make him a bit nervous. A quieter environment where he can take his time to trust his new family would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Pooh recently underwent a neuter surgery and had dental work done at the same time. He has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and is on an inexpensive daily medication (0.1mg Soloxine/Thyro-tabs) that he takes twice a day. He was also recently treated for intestinal parasites.

Training & Support

While Pooh is generally well-behaved, he needs a little extra time to build trust with new people. Patience and consistent positive reinforcement, especially with the help of tasty treats, will go a long way in helping him feel secure and loved.
