Kira's story is one of resilience, growth, and discovering what it means to be part of a family. When she first arrived in foster care, she was scared, shy, quiet, and unsure of the world around her. Today, she's blossomed into a loving companion who enjoys playing with other dogs, spending time with her people, and embracing all the comforts of being a beloved pet. Her foster describes her as chill, playful, and smart, and those qualities shine through more every day. Kira has worked hard to build confidence and continues to impress everyone with how far she has come. Kira Loves Walks, car rides, exploring new smells, chewing bones, cuddling, napping, outdoor patios, sunbathing, quiet relaxation, and spending time with her dog friends. Kira's favorite thing is being comfortable and close to her family. Whether she's lounging in the sun, relaxing on the couch, or joining you for a quiet outing, Kira is happiest when she knows she's safe and loved. Kira may be shy when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar situations, but she warms up quickly once she realizes she's safe. While large crowds can still make her nervous, she continues to gain confidence through positive experiences and patient guidance. One of the most rewarding parts of Kira's journey has been watching her learn how to simply be a dog. She now enjoys playing with the resident dogs, has found her voice, and has embraced life as a cherished family companion. While she'll occasionally speak up when she has something to say, she's not an overly vocal dog. Kira enjoys outings, especially when they aren't overly crowded, and thrives in environments where she can move at her own pace. Kira was found abandoned on the streets of Texas and has come an incredibly long way since those uncertain days. Today, she is discovering just how wonderful life can be when you're loved, safe, and part of a family. If you're looking for a sweet companion who will reward your patience with loyalty, affection, and a heart full of gratitude, Kira may be the perfect addition to your home.
