Groot is the self-appointed Assistant Manager and Head of the Welcome Committee for your household! He's a 45-pound, long-legged goober who approaches life with an infectious sense of purpose, even if no one actually hired him. Whether you're making breakfast, taking out the trash, or just walking around the yard, Groot is there to supervise, escort, and inspect. He's a delightful mix of backyard explorer, quality control specialist, and morale officer. His enormous ears are always on alert, ready to pick up the faintest sounds, and he'll often look at you with a knowing expression, as if to say, "Don't worry, I've got it handled."
Outside is his favorite office where he loves to run, explore, and ensure neighborhood regulations are being followed by the local squirrels. But his absolute favorite part of the job is greeting other dogs. Groot is a social butterfly with his canine peers, instantly forming friendships and making plans for adventures. He truly blossoms with canine companionship, and we believe he would thrive in a home with another playful dog who can join him in his explorations and wrestling matches.
For such an important role, Groot has impeccable manners. He is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and already knows commands like sit, lay down, give paw, "go eat," "go outside," and "go for a walk." He's a quick learner who responds beautifully to praise and genuinely wants to make his people proud. He also has a sweet habit of bringing you his toys as if delivering important paperwork, not for any reward, but just because he thought you should have it. Groot is sweet without being clingy, playful without being chaotic, and funny without even realizing it. He's the kind of dog that will quietly become an indispensable part of your life, the reason you smile when you pull into the driveway and the one who makes your house feel truly full.
