Bear is a handsome, confident, and people-loving boy with a big personality! Estimated to be just over a year old and weighing around 60 lbs, he's likely a pittie mix. Bear is enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn, especially since he's treat-motivated! He shines with his people skills, seeking connection and happily joining in on any activity or just lounging nearby. Bear is already house and crate trained, making him a great addition to a home.

Ideal Home

Bear would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training. He would do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his size or playfulness. A dog-savvy, confident cat and slow introductions would be essential if you have feline friends.

Ongoing Health

Bear is a healthy boy, and his adoption fee includes all vetting, vaccinations, microchipping, and a health certificate.

Training & Support

Bear is still in his puppy phase and is experiencing many new things for the first time. He'll need continued guidance on leash manners, especially around other dogs, as he can get overly excited. With clear, consistent handling and proper introductions, he is learning to settle. He can be a bit too strong or pushy during play with other dogs but has shown he can be respectful once he gets to know them.

Transporation

Bear is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick up is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
