Glacier comes from a background of severe neglect, where his world remained very small for a long time. This means he missed out on crucial socialization experiences that help puppies learn how to navigate the world and interact with people and new environments.

Because of his past, Glacier approaches the world with a bit of caution. He's not the dog who will immediately seek out attention from strangers or jump into your lap on the first day. However, beneath his reserved exterior, Glacier is incredibly gentle, intelligent, and playful once he feels safe. He's shown remarkable progress, and it's clear he has a deep desire to trust and be brave. He just needs a little extra time and understanding to catch up.

Ideal Home

Glacier needs a very special home where he can truly blossom. This includes:

• A patient adopter with experience in handling fearful or undersocialized dogs.
• A quieter home with minimal chaos and a low number of visitors.
• No young children.
• A securely fenced yard is a must.
• A friendly and confident resident dog would be a huge asset, as Glacier looks to other dogs for reassurance and guidance.
• He cannot be trusted off-leash, ever.
• An adopter willing to let Glacier set the pace for his own progress.

Training & Support

Glacier is learning to trust and overcome his past fears. Progress with dogs like Glacier can be non-linear, with days of great leaps forward and days of smaller steps.
