Buddy came to us from a shelter and, while we don't know his full history, it's clear he hasn't always known kindness. He can be a bit shy at first, but with the help of a dedicated team and his patient foster, he's learning that people can be safe, kind, and loving. Once Buddy trusts you, his affectionate personality truly shines. He loves to run and play in the backyard and thrives when he can expend his energy. He's leash-trained, knows commands like "sit," "shake," and "down," and has even completed training, including muzzle training and learning to be calm.
Ideal Home
Buddy needs a calm, experienced dog owner who understands that building trust takes time. He's not the best fit for a first-time dog owner, but for someone patient and steady, he has a tremendous amount of love to give. He's sensitive to your energy, so a calm and confident presence will help him feel secure. A home without young children would be ideal, but he could do well with a mellow, respectful dog companion.
