Axel is a loyal companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, ready to shower his forever family with affection. He loves other dogs of all sizes and is always eager to make new canine friends. Axel has a unique way of saying hello to people; he'll let you know he'd love some attention with a happy bark, which quickly turns into tail wags and cuddles once you acknowledge him. He's a sweet, entertaining boy who is sure to keep you smiling. Axel's story is one of resilience; he was found abandoned in an empty apartment, but thanks to a kind foster, he's ready for his second chance at a loving home.
Ideal Home
Axel would thrive in a home where he can be showered with attention and love. He enjoys relaxing indoors and watching the world go by but also loves to stretch his legs with zoomies in the backyard. While we don't know his feelings about cats yet, he can be tested for interested adopters.

Training & Support
Axel is kennel and potty trained and does well inside the home. He is still working on his leash manners and would benefit from a family dedicated to helping him build confidence on walks.

Transporation
Axel is located in Houston, TX, and transport is included in the adoption fee. Please note that pickup locations for transported dogs may vary and could be in nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. Adopters can track their dog's journey using the Life360 app and will receive updates during transport. You must be able to use one of these services to follow your adopted dog.
