Meet Haze — Gentle Giant Mastiff Mix (1.5 yrs, 150 lbs)

Haze is a young, handsome mastiff-type dog with a big body and an even bigger heart. At around 1.5 years old, he's the perfect mix of playful and laid-back — still enjoys toys and fun, but also loves to relax and just be near his people. He was found in a rural area and never claimed. Despite that, he has clearly been around people and is incredibly loving and trusting.

Ideal Home

Haze would thrive in a single-family home with space and an owner experienced with large/XL breeds. He would likely do best as the only pet or with slow, experienced introductions to other animals. He would also do best in a home without small children due to his size and enthusiasm.

Ongoing Health

Haze will be neutered before adoption. These types of dogs can overheat easily and will need to be housed indoors during heatwaves.

Training & Support

Haze knows some basics and listens well, but still needs continued training. He walks on leash, though can pull (typical for his size — responds to guidance). He is not fully aware of his own size, so he benefits from a confident handler. He is food-friendly with no observed aggression.
