Stevie

Stevie is a charming 5-year-old Poodle/doodle mix, weighing 31 lbs. He's a resilient and joyful soul who has overcome significant challenges. Despite arriving with a blind left eye, early cataracts in his right eye, a double ear infection, and severely matted fur, Stevie's spirit remains unbroken. He adores people, cuddles, and making new friends, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and an open heart. Stevie is a dog who chooses joy, unbothered by his visual impairment or his recent shave. He's looking for a loving forever home where he can share his boundless affection.

Ideal Home

Stevie would thrive in a home that understands his need for patience as he adjusts to his surroundings due to his limited vision. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children, and a home with another friendly dog would be ideal, as it helps him with his separation anxiety.

Ongoing Health

Stevie has a blind left eye and early cataracts in his right eye. He also experienced a double ear infection upon arrival, which has since been treated.

Training & Support

Stevie is house-trained and sleeps peacefully through the night. While car rides initially make him a bit nervous, he settles down and rides quietly after a few minutes. He does experience some separation anxiety, but a canine companion helps him immensely. Slow introductions to new people, dogs, and environments will help him build confidence in his new home.
