Meet Wylie! 💛 Wylie is a 10-year-old, 12 lb sweetheart with the most sensitive little soul. He is super submissive, gentle, and very tuned in to his people!🥹 This boy loves affirmations. He will quietly slide up next to you, look into your eyes, and wait for a little reminder that he is safe and loved. When he is unsure, he will pay close attention to your voice and facial expressions, always checking in for reassurance. He can be hesitant with new things at first, but once he understands his routine and knows where his safe place is, he settles in beautifully.💓 Wylie has done great sleeping in his pen at night and seems to enjoy having his own private space for eating and resting! He is very much an indoor dog. To Wylie, outside is for potty breaks only -- not a grand adventure. He likes to go out, do his business, and come right back inside where he feels secure. 🌤 Wylie has adapted well in a foster home with both large and small dogs, but his ideal home would be calm, steady, and consistent. He would thrive with a homebody who enjoys quiet companionship, soft words, and a simple routine.🐾 He may bark if startled or if the other dogs start barking, but most of the time he just makes the tiniest little squeaky sound when he gets excited. He also loves going belly up like the goofy little guy he is!😝

Ongoing Health
Wylie is heartworm positive, but LWHA covers his treatment until it is complete. Local Bryan/College Station adopters may take him home during treatment as long as they can get him to his vet appointments. Out-of-area adopters can still apply, but Wylie cannot go home until his treatment is finished.

Wylie may bark if startled or if other dogs start barking, but most of the time he just makes the tiniest little squeaky sound when he gets excited. He is a very submissive and gentle dog who thrives on reassurance.
