Tank is an approximately 3-year-old Pit Bull mix and a big cuddler who loves affection. He enjoys playing with dogs of different sizes, spending time outside, splashing in water, and following his people around the home. He is curious, affectionate, smart, and very people-oriented.

Tank came to the rescue as an owner surrender from Oklahoma and is currently fostered between Mason City and Waterloo/Cedar Falls, Iowa. He loves pushing and flinging his giant rock with his nose; this has caused some irritation, which his foster is treating with balm and monitoring.

Ideal Home

Tank does well with other dogs, though he may need reminders to be gentle when excited. He listens well to correction. He prefers that other dogs give him space around food and is making progress with group treat sessions.

Tank is looking for a home without cats. His foster is continuing to learn more about him as he settles into care.

Ongoing Health

Tank will be neutered before adoption. He is up to date on vaccinations, receives monthly preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. His heartworm test is pending.

Training & Support

Tank is potty trained and crate trained. He is working on leash manners and learning “sit,” “stay,” “nice,” “outside,” and “lay.” He is treat motivated, learns quickly, and focuses well during training.
