JOSIE

Meet Josie, a spirited 3-year-old, 35lb pittie mix who's been waiting a little too long for her forever home. She's a wonderful dog with a heart full of love, loyalty, and fun, but she's been overlooked due to some unfair stigmas. Josie is ready to trade her kennel for a cozy couch and become your ultimate adventure buddy!

Ideal Home

Josie needs to be the only pet in the household. She's best suited for a home with children 13 and older, as her enthusiastic greetings might be a bit much for younger ones. A fenced yard is preferred, but she might do well in an apartment with a dedicated owner committed to providing plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.

Ongoing Health

Josie is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been spayed.

Training & Support

Josie is house-trained and crate-trained. She knows "sit" and "crate" very well and is actively learning "drop it," "give," "leave it," and "come." She's an excellent walking companion, though continued leash and command work will help her shine. Her greeting style needs a little refinement; she gets very excited and may jump, so consistent training will help her learn to greet visitors more calmly.
