Luna is a beautiful pit/husky mix, born in early May and weighing in at a lean 35 lbs. She has an athletic build and a heart full of gentleness, though she had a challenging start to life. Due to minimal early socialization and scarce resources, Luna can be timid with new people and takes time to build trust. However, her shyness is solely directed towards humans; she is unfazed by loud noises, vacuums, or other dogs.
Once Luna feels secure, her true spunky, happy, loving, and playful personality emerges. She absolutely thrives with other dogs, relishing their companionship and often initiating play with a submissive, "let's be friends!" attitude. Her playful energy is boundless, and she could entertain herself or a canine friend for hours.
Ideal Home
Luna would do best in a home with another dog to provide companionship and help her learn that people are kind and safe. She may also be happy with respectful children who understand her need for gentle interaction and respect her boundaries. A fenced-in yard is a must, as Luna loves being outdoors and exploring at her own pace.
Ongoing Health
Luna underwent corrective surgery in February for a luxating patella, which went very well, and she has fully recovered. She is spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and dewormed.
Training & Support
Luna is still learning to trust humans, so patience and a calm environment are key. Encouraging gentle interactions and allowing her to approach people on her own terms will help her blossom.
