BAXTER (Gorgeous Low Shedding Boy, Loving, Sweet, Good with Kids & Dogs)

Baxter is a handsome, scruffy Irish Wolfhound/Giant Schnauzer mix with a sweet, loving personality. This 3-year-old, 80-pound boy enjoys cuddling with his people, playing with squeaky toys, fetching, exploring outdoors, and relaxing after an adventure. His wiry coat is adorable and very low-shedding.

Baxter was rescued after being abandoned and is now thriving in foster care. He would make a wonderful companion for an active family who enjoys outdoor adventures and cozy evenings together.

Ideal Home

• Baxter gets along with other dogs and seems especially comfortable with female dogs.
• He is curious about cats and chickens, so a home without them would be best.
• He currently lives with children ages 3 and 5 and does well, but because he is large and does not always realize his size, older children may be a better fit.
• A loving home with opportunities to run, sniff, explore, and enjoy outdoor activities would suit him well.

Ongoing Health

• Baxter is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccines.
• He receives Credelio for flea and tick prevention and Interceptor Plus for heartworm prevention.
• He is scheduled for a veterinary checkup to obtain a health certificate before traveling.

Training & Support

• Baxter is crate trained and house trained.
• He is learning to walk on a leash.
• He is not destructive and has not been a regular chewer.
• He sits calmly for baths and enjoys drinking from a garden hose.
